The short version: we only collect what we need to run BuzzyBeacon for you. We never sell your information, we don’t use advertising cookies, and you can ask us to delete your account at any time.
Who we are
BuzzyBeacon (buzzybeacon.com) helps businesses get recommended by AI and rank higher on Google. In this policy, “we” and “us” means BuzzyBeacon. If you have a question about your information, email support@buzzybeacon.com.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address and the settings you choose. Your password is handled by our sign-in provider, and we never see it.
- Billing: your plan, invoices and billing status. Card details go straight to Stripe, so we never see or store your card number.
- Your website connections: when you connect Google Search Console or Google Analytics, we get read-only access to your search and visit numbers. When you connect WordPress or Shopify, we keep the access details needed to publish to your blog. These details are encrypted.
- Your business details and content: facts you give us about your business, and the articles, plans and reports we create for you.
- Activity records: what the Buzzy Bees did and when, so you can see every change and undo the ones that can be undone.
- Messages to us: emails you send to support.
How we use it
- To run the service: plan and write your content, publish it, check your website and track your results.
- To send your weekly report and important account emails, such as billing notices.
- To keep your account secure and prevent abuse.
- To answer your questions.
We only send marketing emails if you have agreed to them, and every one has an unsubscribe link. We never sell your information or share it for advertising.
AI and your information
Our Buzzy Bees use AI models from MiniMax to write content and answer questions. We send the model only what it needs for the task, such as your business details and the topic of an article. Your Google data is used only to provide BuzzyBeacon to you.
BuzzyBeacon’s use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
The chat on our website
When you use the Buzzy chat on our public pages, your messages are sent to MiniMax to write a reply. We don’t save the conversation, and we don’t link it to your account. Please don’t share passwords or payment details in the chat.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted companies to run BuzzyBeacon. They may only use your information to provide their service to us:
- Supabase: database and sign-in
- Vercel: website hosting
- Cloudflare: scheduled background work
- Stripe: payments
- Resend: email delivery
- MiniMax: AI writing and chat
- Google, WordPress and Shopify: only the accounts you choose to connect
We may also share information if the law requires it.
Cookies
We only use cookies that are needed to sign you in and keep your account secure. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we keep it for 90 days in case you change your mind, and then delete it. Articles already published to your website stay on your website, because they belong to you. We may keep billing records for longer when the law requires it.
Your choices and rights
- See and update your account details in your settings.
- Disconnect Google, WordPress or Shopify at any time. You can also remove our access from those accounts directly.
- Ask for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing support@buzzybeacon.com.
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any of them.
Keeping it safe
Everything is sent over secure connections. Access details for your connected accounts are encrypted, and only the parts of BuzzyBeacon that need them can use them.
Children
BuzzyBeacon is a service for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change is important, we will also email you before it takes effect.
